Fort Wayne, IN. – WaterFurnace International, Inc. has completed its Envision Series Split product offering with the addition of the Envision Series Air Handler. The company introduced the high-efficiency air handler at HVAC Comfortech 2008 (Booth #819), Sept. 11-13, in Atlanta, GA.

The new Envision Series Air Handler is available in 2- to 5-ton capacities. Designed for R-410A refrigerant, the air handler is configured as either a dx or hydronic coil, making the unit compatible with the 2- to 6-ton Envision Series Split Indoor Heat Pump or the 2- to 6-ton EW Hydronic Heat Pump.

The new air handler comes standard with a variable-speed (ECM) fan motor for maximum comfort and savings. Additional features of the Envision Air Handler include:

• An easy to access control panel
• A narrow cabinet for ease of installation in attics
• A field-adjustable, four-position design that allows for horizontal, vertical and bottomflow right and  left configurations
• A blower assembly that slides in and out for ease of conversion in the field
• A factory-installed thermal expansion valve, one-inch filter rack and a corrosion proof stainless steel drain pan

The air handler’s cabinet is constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel for enhanced durability and painted with a silver metallic powder coat finish. Interior surfaces are lined with ½-inch-thick cleanable aluminum coated glass fiber insulation for sound reduction.
